2009 Christmas Tour of Homes

It is that time of year again, getting ready for decorating and lots of good food. MTHS Fine Arts Boosters needs your help for our 2009 Christmas Tour of Homes on Saturday December 6th. 

We will have a Christmas Kitchen again at one of the houses on Tour where people can purchase items to take home with them for the holidays.  We are looking for Frozen Casserole's, Breads, Baked Goods, and Candy.  This is not your average Bake sale, these are items you would share with family and friends during the holiday season or a quick dinner to pop in the oven for your family when you run home from shopping.

It's Poinsettia Time in the Fine Arts Department!

Help support the MTHS Fine Arts by purchasing a beautiful poinsettia to decorate your home, office or church.  Each 8” potted poinsettia  is available in red or white, and costs only $16.00.

To place your order, contact Cassie Garren or drop your order form in the band room drop box along with your payment. Please include your name, phone number, number of plants, and color wanted.

Please pass this information on to any businesses you think might be interested in ordering.

Deadline for orders is Wed., Nov. 26.  Delivery is Thursday, Dec. 4

Why do we do this?

As a booster organization, there are a series of fundraisers in the works and described below.  Whether your student is in art, photography, chorus, plays, musicals, or bands, we are asking for your help. Funds raised by the boosters have allowed the following purchases to be made
  • Art displays
  • Portable digital recorder for choir and band
  • Multi-disc CD/DVD duplicator for all of the departments
  • About $6,000 toward the NYC music dept. trip
  • Banners at the square for Fall Play, Madrigal Dinners, JazzFest, musical, and parade and field
  • Shop-vacs for theater
  • Rotating stages for theater
  • Lessons for students switching instruments
  • Programs for Fall Play and all concerts and musical
  • Clinicians for photography, band, and choir
  • Painting the semi-trailer
  • The carts for marching band
